Well, as the Bush Adminisration pardon of Libby blankets the news, and as I stand in whirl of patriotism and nationalism around the 4th of July, I can't help but think "gosh, how did we ever get so damm docile!"
What I mean is, where is the outrage!?! The sad part is that my generation (with sparks of hope) is overwhelmingly (while good-intentioned) disengaged. We keep waiting for some person to rescue us from our problems -- some candidate, some political party, some celebrity...someone else.
Yet, we've inherited a world from our parents that can't afford for us to wait. We're so comfortable with the status quo, or maybe too afraid to speak out (in over our heads with debt, me included -- wondering where all these jobs are that we went to school for).
Time to shake things up. Where's the direct action. Where's the risk, the passion...
But hey, just ranting, wondering how we get "the outrage back."

Well said bro. Glad to see that you still have that fire within you. Some things should never change. From Mitchell Hall to the present day, you've been an inspiration to many. Keep it up B.

Agreed -- I'm not totally clear on why we're not storming the White House, or at least standing out there with angry looks on our faces. If we don't react, well, that's why they're getting away with it, isn't it?
